Avant Dental was established in 2007. The office is located in the heart of Hamilton and has been servicing Bermuda’s community for over 10 years. Avant Dental’s mission is to provide outstanding dental treatment in a caring environment to patients of all ages.

Dr. Shanna-Lee Burch
B.S, D.D.S
Dr. Burch graduated from Andrews University with a B.S in Zoology/Biomedical in 1996. She then followed her passion of dentistry at Howard University where she obtained her D.D.S. degree. While studying in Washington, D.C., she completed a dental externship at Alderson Federal Prison Camp. Over her 17 years of practice, Dr. Burch has broadened her scope of practice through continuing education to provide additional services for her patient such as Implantology and Invisalign.
Dr. Burch is an avid lover of the arts and enjoys listening to and performing various genres of music. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband and two daughters. Dentistry has always been of interest to Dr. Burch, and she loves transforming people’s lives: one smile at a time.
Sara Dayton
RDH
Sara Dayton joined Avant Dental in October 2019. Sara is an honours graduate of Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting from George Brown College, in Toronto, Canada. She has over 12 years of dental industry experience and is sincere and passionate about providing patients with comfortable, thorough and comprehensive care, not only for your oral health, but also your overall health. In her free time, she loves to get out and be active, enjoy the sunshine and ocean air, and photograph all of the natural beauty Bermuda has to offer.
Kim Trott
CDA
Kim Trott was introduced into an extremely busy dental world as a summer student at the Bermuda Oral Health Clinic and enjoyed her experience there. This prompted her to continue her education in Dentistry. She graduated from Wallace State Community College in Alabama in 2011 with her Associate Degree in Applied Science. The following year, she took the Dental Assisting National Board exam and obtained her certification as a Dental Assistant. In 2012, Kim joined the Avant Dental team as a Certified Dental Assistant.
Tiffany Smith
Front Office Coordinator
Tiffany Smith commenced her educational pursuits at Bermuda College in the area of business studies, and quickly realized her passion was more focused in the medical field. She furthered her education at Penn Foster College, completing studies in Medical Administration. Ms. Smith brings over 5 years of customer service experience to her current role at Avant Dental. She is looking to enhance her dental expertise pursuing further studies in dental assisting. In her spare time, Tiffany enjoys travelling and spending quality time with family and friends.
